This year The Foundation of Excellence was able to help 12 students from McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida take a tour of colleges and universities in the Southeast US. For a week students toured some of the most competitive schools in the country, meeting with college admissions counselors, and speaking with SPIDER program alumni, and current college students. Emory University, Georgia Tech, Duke and UNC – Chapel Hill are some of the many colleges that students visited. The trip was made affordable for the students, a number of whom receive free/reduced lunch, by proceeds from the summer STEAMCamp for K-8 students. Interested in donating to the next field trip?
